The Transfiguration as Evidence of the Glory of God that IS IN US.

It is the Holy Spirit of God that lives in us. We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit of God. At the point of our Salvation, at that point where we say, "Yes, Lord, I believe in you and I receive you into my heart" our Spirits are united with His Spirit and they become one and our Spirit is made perfect with His Spirit. It is His inheritance that He has placed in us by the Ministry of Reconciliation. God has taken it upon Himself to reconcile us to Himself through the Blood of Jesus. 1 Corinthians says that NOW we see in a mirror dimly, BUT THEN face to face. NOW I know in part, but then I SHALL know just as I also am known. This tells us that through God’s word, we can see only a glimpse of who we actually are, but when we stand before the Lord, we shall know How God truly sees us and How He has seen us all along. 1 John says that it has not yet been revealed WHAT we shall be, but we know that when we see Him, we shall see Him as He is, and we Shall be LIKE HIM. What revelation this is. This is where the deception of the devil steals our victory and disables our authority. He tries to keep us from realizing who we are and to whom we belong, God’s Children made heirs and co-heirs with Jesus, by Jesus, through His Holy Spirit, adopted into the great family of God. Further, Matthew 17 describes a very special event: the transfiguration of Jesus. It is at the transfiguration that Jesus removes the veil of his flesh to reveal the Glory that He had with God before the foundation of the world. It says that His face did shine like the sun and that his raiment was white as the light. We must understand that this white is not in the sense of the color white, but white in the sense of literal light. This is the Glory of God. It is Jesus’ death that the veil of His flesh was "rent in twain" to make the Glory of God available to all men. This is the glory that is in us. That is the Glory that Jesus has provided us by His shed blood. Going back to 1 Corinthians, what we see now, dimly, is only a glimpse of how we shall see ourselves when we stand before the Throne of God, because we will then be seen as He truly sees us, and the transfiguration of Jesus is a glimpse of who we are in our Spirits. This is awesome revelation and life changing truth if it can be received.
