God In Me

Just what does “God in Me” mean? When I say “God in Me” am I referring to what some may think is blasphemy by suggesting that I am some kind of God? When I perceive that God is in Me, just what exactly am I thinking. First of all, without God, I am dust; I am nothing. With God in my life, I am a Child of God; I am an heir of God; I am a co-heir with Jesus Christ; Jesus is my brother. He has shared His total inheritance with me. But how do I obtain this inheritance? I do I draw these things of the Spirit into this natural life?

The answer to all of these questions is very simple. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was raised from the dead, He did something that most people today do not realize or understand. He forgave the World. The death and resurrection of Jesus has brought forgiveness to the world. The world is forgiven and has been forgiven for 2000 years. All sin has been forgiven. In God’s eyes, because He is looking through the Blood of Jesus, sin has been eliminated. People do not go to hell for homosexuality, adultery, drunkeness, etc. People will be cast away from God because they simply do not believe or accept the free gift of salvation that has been given by the shed blood of Jesus. He has made the way for all things to be made new. We are forgiven. Everyone on planet earth right now and for the last 2000 years are and have been forgiven. Sin is not imputed to man. There is nothing that we can do to earn any favor from God. We have already received the full favor of God in Christ Jesus and the sending of His Holy Spirit.

When we realize that we are sinners in the need of a savior and we confess that we are such and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, by faith, the old sinful nature that leads to sin dies and is buried. What is raised to newness in life in the believer is the Holy Spirit of God which has become united as one with our Spirit. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit of God; we now have the mind of Christ; we are now imitators of God; we are now Holy in our Spirit.

Because the Holy Spirit of God is the third person of the triune Godhead and is God Himself for the scripture states that God is the Spirit, and He now lives in me as I am now and have always been created to be the temple of the Holy Spirit of God, I am now the Child of God. Because the Spirit of God that is in me is God Himself, and because He has received all authority on earth and in heaven and because he must receive the full benefit of his inheritance, because He is in me, I must automatically benefit from his inheritance because for him to receive it, it must come through me, as He now has taken up a permanent residence in me. I draw on these things of the Spirit and bring into the natural realm by praying in the Spirit. When I pray in the Spirit, I am praying with the language of God and He is communicating with me Spirit to Spirit when I pray in the Spirit, I draw all things things of God into the flesh that are the benefits of being a son of God. When I pray in the Spirit, I am praying with the mind of Christ that is in me. With this, comes revelation of the word and revelation of who I am in Christ Jesus.

What is the Difference in Being Tested and Being Tempted?

What is the difference between being tempted and being tested?

Tempted means “to try to get (someone) to do wrong, especially by a promise of reward.” We can see the ultimate of this definition at the temptation of Jesus Christ in the desert. Satan tried to tempt the Lord by making him offers, by trying to promise things to Him that were already His. We face all kinds of temptation and some of the temptations that may work on me may not work on another person, yet temptations that may affect others, may not have any impact whatsoever with me. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Temptation can be resisted. We are in a spiritual war and our “struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” God doesn’t put temptation in our lives, but we are tested by God.

Tested means “a procedure for critical evaluation; a means of determining the presence, quality, or truth of something; a trial.” That is a powerful definition and God wants us to be willing to do anything and go anywhere. God does not tempt us, but we are tested. Testing can produce endurance. The notes state that “tribulations are an opportunity to use what a person already has (faith, patience, etc.)” If you take the definition that was provided and compare it to the notes, then we can see that testing is a means of determining the presence, quality or truth of our faith, patience, etc.). We can gain patience from testing which perfects us, not the tribulation. Yes, we may face firey trials and tribulations, but we must stand by faith in what God’s word says and about what His promises are. The tribulation is the test. “Problems, disasters, sickness, etc. are not blessings from God;” however, these things can produce patience by faith in what God’s promises are in Christ Jesus. We are the redeemed of the Lord.

The word says in Isaiah 53:5, “But He WAS wounded for our transgressions, HE WAS bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and BY HIS STRIPES WERE ARE HEALED.” These are the awesome promises of God to which we can stand by Faith. Faith being the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. We have all things in the shed blood of Jesus. We can stand confident on those promises because we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. We are in the BELOVED. We are the Beloved of the Lord.

We must step out and be radical. We cannot believe what the world says because the world does not know us so the world cannot tell us anything. We are citizens of heaven and acting like natural born children of the light, we trust in He who has given us all things, and not in the things of this world. We have a heavenly Father, and we are HIS HEIR, and co-heir with Jesus Christ, Romans 8:17. If we want to see revival, then let revival spark in you. If we want to see the power of God, then we must stop asking and let God’s power be seen through us. The book of Acts tells us that WE SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THE HOLY GHOST HAS COME UPON US. We are wall to wall Holy Ghost. Signs and wonders will follow. These are the promises of God to which we can cling RIGHT NOW. Let’s walk in those promises and be STRONG in our Faith in Christ Jesus.

Rest in God’s Word

Romans 12 says to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. If you are to know who you are in your spirit, then you must renew your mind to the word of God. When you were saved, your spirit became united with God’s Holy Spirit. That means that God, the Holy God, who can have nothing to do with sin, has made your spirit Holy… it is perfect. It is today, just like it will be throughout all eternity. So in order for you to know who you are in your spirit, so that you can live by faith in God through the Spirit, because God is the Holy Spirit, and we worship God in Spirit and Truth, we must know that it is Spirit of Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit of God that has taken up residence, permanent residence in you by means of the shed blood of Jesus. The cross is the means by which God has made it possible to take up permanent residence in you. Now, because of the blood of Jesus, you are able to stand in authority and with power, with the faith of God to move mountains. You cannot know these things unless you renew your mind to the word. Yes, the Holy Spirit of God can give you revelation, but the Word is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword dividing between soul and spirit. You are the full representative of Christ Jesus here on this earth now. You are the delegated authority and power on this earth now. There is authority and power in your words if you believe in your heart and do not doubt. Believe what? Believe what the Word of God says about you, and that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit of God and you have the same spirit in you that raised Jesus from the dead. Do not let someone keep you from moving into the fullness of the victory of the shed blood of Jesus. Step on through and make abode in the REST of God. What manner of love is this that we are called the Children of God.

What Manner of Love is This That We Are Called Children of God?

I always find myself coming to this verse. It doesn’t matter what I can be teaching or preaching on, I always find my way back to this verse. It is because it is incomprehensible just how much God loves us and to know that we will be like Him is even more incomprehensible. However, the word of God directly leads us back to these verses because they are pivotal is understanding or realizing who we are right now In Christ Jesus. There is coming a day when We will stand before the Throne of God and we will for the first time see ourselves the way that God has been seeing us all along. He has give up everything so that we can have everything.

Spiritual Mindedness Equals Life and Peace

Spiritual Mindedness equals life and peace. If we dominate ourselves with the Word of God, then we can reach a point where we don’t hear anything but God’s voice. Hebrews 11:15 says, “And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” That is a powerful verse.

“You cannot be tempted with anything you don’t think, your mind can be so stayed on God that you can’t disbelieve Him and your heart will become sensitive to what you focus on” (Wommack). Spending most of your time focused on the Lord in ways that we weren’t before, it changes our lives and we don’t even know why our perception is different. It is because we are sensitive to the things that we weren’t sensitive to before. The key is keeping my mind stayed on the Lord, remaining disciplined (Personal Note: I am disciplined. I could not accomplish the things that I accomplish without discipline; however, it is the hardest thing for me, and I fail sometimes and when I do I fail big and I fall right on my face. BUT GOD, HE picks me up, dusts me off, and off I go again. Mighty is the Name of Jesus). I can’t go back to doing the things that I used to do and remain sensitive to God. This is exactly the principle of living a Holy Life.

Living a sinful life hardens the heart. This is the opposite of living a holy life. As the verse in Hebrews states or what the verse means to me, if I am living a life that I lived while separated from God, my heart can become hardened to receiving from God. I can’t be mindful of the things of my past because I know what temptations to which I am susceptible. The enemy also knows the temptations that I listen to. He knows how to get all of us. He knows what pushes our buttons. Living a holy life keeps me from focusing on the things that can defeat me, that can harden my heart, that can keep me from receiving from God. He says, “Be Holy, because I am Holy.” We are to be like our father, we are to be imitators of God, we are to have the mind of Christ, we are united as one with the Holy Spirit of God, who is God. Being in Him creates a holiness that only he can create. There is nothing holy about our flesh; however, I cannot expect to walk in the fullness of God without my receptors being fully tuned into him. It isn’t about His love for me or getting him to do something for me. He has already shown the fullness of his love in His Son, Jesus. He has already done everything for me by the blood of Jesus.

What a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If I think on the things of God and I am stayed on the things of God, then I will live a holy life by accident; it will become natural for I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. If all things have become new, then I must focus on the new things and not the old things. The old things are the things that can lead me into sin, which can harden my heart. Staying focused on HIM, will lead me into Holiness that only he can produce in us. As a new creation, I know that I am a son of God, I know that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I know that I can do all things through Christ who give me strength. I know that I have authority and power in Christ Jesus. These are the things that I must think on, because then will I see signs and wonders, because these things remove doubt and disbelief.

Also, this is the message of repentance that must accompany the Grace Message. Totally giving into HIM will lead us into a repentant lifestyle, naturally (a life that no longer lives the way it once lived). It won’t become an effort or a ‘work’, it will become our way of life.

RENEW YOUR MIND

We must renew our minds to the word of God for the word tells us who we are in our Spirits. It tells us who we really are. It tells us who we really are. We are the sons of God. Do we know what that means? Do we know that we are made heirs and co-heirs with Jesus Christ by what he has done for us on the Cross.

Do we truly understand THAT WE ARE SONS OF GOD!!! WE ARE THE BELOVED. WE ARE THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. RISE UP, CHURCH, AND RECOGNIZE THAT IT IS GOD IN YOU. RISE UP AND RECOGNIZE THAT YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD AND THAT GOD DWELLS IN YOU AND THAT ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO CHRIST JESUS AND HE HAS DELEGATED THAT POWER AND AUTHORITY TO YOU…. CHURCH. YOU ARE THE THE GLORY OF GOD IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. RISE UP, CHURCH AND BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE SONS OF GOD. WHATEVER YOU BIND ON EARTH IS BOUND IN HEAVEN, WHATEVER YOU LOSE ON EARTH IS LOOSED IN HEAVEN. IF YOU SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN BE CAST INTO THE SEA, AND DO NOT DOUBT, IT SHALL BE DONE BECAUSE YOU ARE SPEAKING WITH THE FAITH OF GOD. YOU ARE CALLED TO LAY YOUR HANDS ON THE SICK AND THEY SHALL BE HEALED. YOU ARE THE SONS OF GOD. THE ENEMY HAS BEEN STRIPPED AND HE HAS NO POWER HE HAS NO AUTHORITY, HE IS A LIAR. CHURCH, YOU ARE THE SONS OF GOD. WHAT MANNER OF LOVE IS THIS THAT YOU ARE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD; THAT I AM CALLED THE CHILD OF GOD? GLORY TO GOD.

We, the Church, need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and being so passive. We are not passive. We are dressed with a robe of Righteousness and THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD. WE ARE NOT DRESSED WITH THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD TO BE PASSIVE. WE ARE DRESSED WITH THE HELMET OF SALVATION, THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE BELT OF TRUTH, THE PEACE OF GOD ON OUR FEAT, WE HAVE THE SHIELD OF FAITH AND WE CARRY THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD. We are radical. We are radically changed by the blood of Jesus. We are changed into a race of beings that NEVER EXISTED BEFORE, SO ACT LIKE NATIVE BORN CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT.

We are the Sons of God AND HE IS OUR LORD, OUR MASTER, OUR REDEEMER, OUR HEALER, OUR SAVIOR, OUR PROVIDER, HE IS AWESOME AND WONDERFUL; HE IS OUR MIGHTY GOD AND WHEN THE ENEMY IS COME UPON US, LIKE A FLOOD THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL RAISE A BANNER AGAINST HIM. We have been created in the IMAGE of God. We are called to Love, Church. Stop being so quick to throw people in hell. You do not sit on the throne. Do not be so quick to condemn yourself for it is the blood of Jesus who has justified you. You have been justified and sanctified. Justified not only means that you stand before God forgiven, BUT THAT YOU STAND BEFORE GOD AS IF YOU HAVE NEVER SINNED BEFORE. We are called to Love, as Christ loves Us. We are the Body of Christ. We must preach the love of Jesus to anyone and everyone. We must let the love of Jesus radiate from and through us. We must be prepared to share the Love of Jesus. We must talk about Him like we talk about everyone else. We must know him better than we know ourselves. We must renew our minds to the Word, for the Word is QUICK, AND POWERFUL AND sharper than any two edged sword, piercing and dividing between soul and spirit, and the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. When we realize who we are in Christ Jesus, when we get the real revelation of the Holy Spirit of God, for God IS THE SPIRIT AND THE SAME POWER THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD IS IN YOU, THEN YOU WILL PERCEIVE THAT YOU ARE THE BELOVED, YOU ARE THE CHILD OF GOD.

In Him Do I Trust

Religion has written upon in our minds that we have to do something to get God to move, to get God to do something for us. The enemy has worked his way into religion and brought corruption. But, we must stand in faith, we must trust God regardless of the circumstance or the situation and believe God’s word. Even if we miss the mark, we get right back on track and say, “Lord, I got sidetracked, I lost focus, draw me unto you, lead me and direct me.” He remains faithful even when we do not. That is the promise of God. I love how Wommack magnifies the fact in a previous message that the covenant God made is not between God and us, but between God and Jesus. We just enjoy the benefits of what Jesus has done in keeping our side of the covenant with the Father. What manner of love is that? That is the love of God. I could run laps around this house with a revelation of that. Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree?”, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

That is powerful. When we understand that Jesus has done it all for us and that he is our covenant keeper, how can we look at our own selves for anything that can get God to move. But, we do. We do it. But, he is so faithful and he is so merciful and he is so loving. He loves us so much. I will be honest, even when I stumble, I find myself thinking that I have disappointed God and that I am going to get punished. It is the natural way of thinking, but only a portion of that is true, in my eyes. I, a child of God want to please my Heavenly Father just like I want to please my earthly Father. I want him to be happy with me. I want to do what is right, but not because I have to, but because I want to, because I love him.

Praising God, Thanking God, Loving God, moves him. That is what moves God. He wants us to love him, to keep his commandments because we love Him. God loves us so much. But, I can be self-righteous sometimes. I want to be holy, I want to live holy, because he is holy, but I don’t all the time. When I fail, he picks me up, shines me up, and puts me back to work. He is such a good God.

Lord Jesus, I love you so much, your mercy and grace… they endure forever. You have given us all things in your mighty love. Thank you for my life, my job, and for all things that I have. You are a blessing to me. In You do I trust.

The Still, Small Voice

I have never heard God speak audibly. I know that I have heard people say they have heard God speak audibly, but I have not. If I heard God speak audibly, I am not sure what would happen. Of course, it would change me even more. I would probably tremble. But, I know that the Holy Spirit has spoken to me so vividly that it can be just like talking to a person setting next to you. That is from where the revelation comes. He does reveal himself and He does talk to you. The key is to listen. When you read the word, don’t just fly through it like we do most of the time. Take your time. Read a few words, think about them. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the word, and as you begin to think on these things, in silence, the Holy Spirit will begin to speak to you and you WILL KNOW that it is the Spirit of God who is speaking with you.

If you want to read something that will give you a powerful revelation, get the Andrew Wommack STUDY GUIDE on the Spirit, Soul, and Body. Get in a quite place, and read one or two lessons a day. Take your time. Read it slowly. Pause and consider what you are reading, and I promise you, God’s Holy Spirit will open up a wealth of revelation that will change you forever. (Of course, I am no presuming to tell you how to study. We all study differently, but being that we are discussing the audible voice of God, I feel this is within an acceptable scope of the discussion. I hope you do, too.)

HOWEVER, even though I have never heard God speak audibly, I would love to tell about the first week of September of 2011 when I experienced the presence of the Lord Jesus standing with me in my living room. It is the only time that I have ever experienced such a visitation and it is unlike anything that I have ever experienced before. It only lasted for about a minute, maybe a little longer, but it wasn’t long at all. There was a powerful anointing on me for about the whole week. It was like I was plugged into a wall socket and power was flowing through me. I was walking around my house electrified and the Holy Spirit was preaching powerful revelation to me, through me, and I was seeing visions. I know this all may sound strange, but this is the true account of Jesus showing himself to me.

Now, don’t misunderstand, I didn’t see Jesus like an apparition or like I would a natural person standing with me. If I had, I would probably have accounted it as a familiar spirit, especially if the anointing had not been there. I was standing in my living room and I was praying in the Spirit, my hands were lifted, and the anointing was there, unlike I have ever experienced. Suddenly, in my minds eye, and physically, I could feel a powerful presence standing next to me. My eyes were closed, but suddenly, just to my right, in my minds eye, I could see the Master standing there. I just stood in his presence. He was so real to me, that I had to open my eyes and literally look to my right to see if he was really standing there, but I didn’t see him with my natural eye. But, in my Spirit, I could see him standing there. His presence was so powerful that all the evil things that I had done in my life were no longer in my memory. I could concentrate on nothing but Him. I felt nothing, but Him.

My sins, my past, those terrible things that had me bound for so many many years, no longer were in the equation. It was like I had never done anything wrong in my life. It is the most powerful presence. Then, the presence of the Lord was gone. The anointing was still there, but the person of Jesus that I know was He was not there any longer. I fell to my face and cried and cried with a loud wail. It was uncontrollable. I couldn’t stop it.

The anointing was so powerful during that week that every now and again… and this is funny, I would have to let out this yell. Have you ever watched the wrestling? My grandmother loved the wrestling. I, personally, don’t care for it, but if you know what I am talking about, there is an old wrestler named Rick Flair. Rick Flair has this yell about him. He comes out and goes, “WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” LOL. I know. I go from talking about the presence of Jesus to Rick Flair… how? Anyway, that kind of Whoaaaaaaaaaa is the kind of yell that was coming out of me. My neighbor came up to me and said, “I thought your room was sound proof.”  I said, my back room is sound proof. She said, “Well, I was outside the other day, and all of a sudden I heard this Whoaaaaaaaaa. I stopped and looked around and then I realized it was coming from your house. Do you play video games or something.” I laughed. I said, “No. That is me praying. Sorry. Sometimes the Holy Spirit gets a hold of me and I shout, so if you hear that and you need prayer, that is great time to come over.” LOL.

I could probably write a book on that experience and all the revelation that I received. He showed me so many things about how the enemy operates, but he mainly let me physically feel a powerful anointing, an unstoppable anointing, the type of anointing that I perceive that Peter had after the Holy Spirit fell upon them and he began to preach and 3,000 were saved. We must be hungry for him. We must forget everything that religion has taught us and find out, by relationship and intimacy with him, the truth.

He is an awesome God. He loves us so much. I don’t tell many about that experience, but I suddenly felt like I should share it. There are more details about the experience that I have not shared here, but that is the crux of it. I hope that you have had the same type of experience, and if so, I would love to hear about it.
